Why You Should Start Pilates or Life Coaching Now – for Free

Free is good, but Ken Groover would tell you there is even more motivation to start taking care of yourself.
About 10 years ago Groover, a resident of Lake Forest, Illinois, added Pilates to his workout routine because he was looking for another way to stay in shape. Now, 10 years later, he continues to do Pilates one to two times a week, in addition to other activities including golf, skiing, paddle ball, tennis, pickle ball and curling – all at the age of 67.
Of course, Pilates isn’t the only reason Groover is so active, but he does give credit to both the Pilates exercises and the staff at Hidden Power. “I’ve seen personal changes in my body,” Groover said. “My core is stronger and supports my back. In the past I did have skiing accidents, but have been accident-free for the past 10 years.”
In the interest of setting and working toward personal goals for physical fitness, relationships, career or other life pursuits, Hidden Power Life Coaching & Pilates, 3340 Dundee Road, Northbrook, is offering free introductory half-hour Pilates or Life Coaching sessions—private or group—to new clients.
Are you feeling motivated to get moving? If not, then maybe your mind is needing some attention first.
“The body and mind are so connected,” said Hidden Power’s owner Iryna Pantelyuk, “If your energy is out of balance, the body effects the mind and the mind effects the body.”
To support the mind and body connection that Pilates embraces, the certified Relationship Life Coach works with clients in separate sessions to help them recognize what is holding them back in life. Then, a program of long-term solutions is created. Different than traditional counseling or therapy that helps people heal the past, coaching focuses on the present and future.
Pantelyuk’s unique approach to coaching draws not only from professional training, but also from personal experience. Several years ago she was dealing with an issue in her own life that she couldn’t resolve.
“When I discovered how to use a hidden power within myself, I knew I wanted to share this with others,” she said. “When we experience emotions and stay in them for a long time, it can drain your energy.”
That is what one of her Pilates clients learned after he started life coaching sessions to help him deal with stress in his life.
“Iryna helped me to understand myself,” said Robert Albrecht, of Des Plaines, Illinois. “I didn’t know what to expect [from life coaching] and had positive results.”
Albrecht said that Pantelyuk helped him work on the stress in his life that was making it hard for him to exercise or to do anything else.
